The Melting Sun

The flame of the sun starts melting and the glowing threads cut right through into the soul, the heart, the existence. Only to soar back on the wings of the phoenix to light the fire again brighter, hotter, wilder. @Copyright Apharwat

Poetry by Purvez

Here are some poems. Daylight Dream In a rockgarden on a simmering hot day Evaporating dew drops on the lilac petals and nectar from the jasmine offered to a roaming bumble bee. It feastsand goes- And forgets the treat. The lingering sweetness stays with me close to my heart. I hope the crystal-clear thoughtbrightens a dark, gloomy soul Sometime, Somewhere. Purple Horizons Crickets, beatles and wasps a composition in my backyard nature- flowing through creeping smoothly under the skin and slowly tickling the heart everything else seems irrelevant for those tranquil moments you hold the nature in your palm And the nature gently sings you the lullaby and smoothens out the creases on your soul. Whispers by Ana Mir

Whispers, whispers, in the dark Calling others to embark Upon the journey that they seek When the present seems so bleak Untold love and lots of laughter Sensing something to chase after As the hour slips away Night retreats and on comes day Fleeing from the world they know Light is calling as they go Reaching out for what is dear Shaking off what they may fear The sun rises and moon falls Running from the closing walls Knowing there is something more Finding life worth fighting for Helping those who lag behind Hearts and souls are now entwined Searching in each others’ eyes Seeing what behind them lies Whispers, whispers, in the dark Calling others to embark Upon the journey that they seek When the present seems so bleak

A Little Piece of Heaven By Sama Mir

A smooth, light brown guitar in its case Waiting to be played Certificates hanging on the wall Honoring hard work at Taekwon-Do A velvety, purple stuffed dog A special reminder of my 9th birthday Yarn and knitting needles In an unfinished light blue scarf A gameboy in its dock Ready to charge for the night Jeans and t-shirts hung neatly on dark black hangers Waiting to be worn A hutch filled with old, worn-out books Categorized alphabetically by author Light pink walls which I despise Ready to be painted blue A bright white carpet with a speck of brown paint Walked over by bare feet, so many times Folders with completed homework Proudly standing in their place A nightstand covered by a gigantic boom box Listened to, so many times Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl Covered with laughter from many kids Hanging trees beside the window Home for many robins, hued red and black My room is the place to be.
