Whispers by Ana Mir

Whispers, whispers, in the dark
Calling others to embark
Upon the journey that they seek
When the present seems so bleak

Untold love and lots of laughter
Sensing something to chase after
As the hour slips away
Night retreats and on comes day

Fleeing from the world they know
Light is calling as they go
Reaching out for what is dear
Shaking off what they may fear

The sun rises and moon falls
Running from the closing walls
Knowing there is something more
Finding life worth fighting for

Helping those who lag behind
Hearts and souls are now entwined
Searching in each others’ eyes
Seeing what behind them lies

Whispers, whispers, in the dark
Calling others to embark
Upon the journey that they seek
When the present seems so bleak
